The Riad Livia Family
Riad Livia is a small adults-only riad in the medina of Marrakech. We opened our doors in 2023 with five rooms, one rooftop, and a simple idea: combine the warmth of Moroccan hospitality with a German eye for detail, and keep things small enough to stay personal. Being small means we have the time to learn your name, remember how you take your coffee, and look after the little details that most places miss.

BIANCA - OUR FOUNDER
The riad began as her idea: a small place in Marrakech where every guest is looked after like a friend, not a room number. You will not meet her at the door, as she is based in the Netherlands, but she has put the riad in the hands of a team she trusts completely. Her one wish is simple: that you feel at home from the moment you arrive. The family you meet here makes sure of it, every day.
OUR MANAGER
MOHAMMED, our manager, has been with us since Livia first opened its doors in 2023. He grew up in Zagora, at the edge of the Sahara, where hospitality is simply a way of life. Planning a surprise for your partner's birthday? A proposal under the stars? A journey into the desert with secret stops and a night under an open sky? Just ask Mohammed. Whatever you have in mind, he will find a way to make it happen.
OUR NIGHT GUARDIAN
YOUSSEF is the one who watches over Livia while the city sleeps. He serves dinner, opens the door no matter how late you come home, picks you up from the taxi point, and makes sure every guest is safely inside. In the morning he is there again with breakfast, and if you have an early flight he will have a coffee and a little something ready before you even ask. A problem in the middle of the night? Youssef will take care of it.
THE SOUL OF OUR HOME
Naima has been part of Livia since the very first day, and in many ways she is its heart. She looks after breakfast and the rooms, and she does both like an artist. The way she arranges a breakfast plate, the calm and care she leaves in every room, the small touches of beauty you keep noticing around the riad, most of it is Naima. She is the quiet warmth that makes Livia feel less like a hotel and more like a home.
THE HEART OF OUR KITCHEN
AZIZA has been with us from the very beginning. She is the cook behind our dinners, and they are something special. Made with love and the kind of skill that only comes from years in a Moroccan kitchen, her dishes are the reason so many guests say their evening meal at Livia was the highlight of their stay. She also looks after breakfast and the rooms, always with the same warmth and care you feel the moment you arrive.
