Terms & Conditions

Riad Livia Marrakech

Please read these booking terms and conditions carefully as they apply to all bookings made with Riad Livia Marrakech. The contract is subject to these booking terms and conditions and to the law of Morocco.

Check in is at any time. Your room is guaranteed from 3:00 pm and check out is 11:30 am.

No changes or cancellations can be made after booking. Upon booking, you accept to be charged the full price of the stay. In the event of modification, cancellation, or no-show, the entire amount is non-refundable.

Free cancellation is available up to 7 days before the arrival date. If canceled within the final 7 days before arrival, 100% of the booking amount will be charged.

For bookings of 3 or more rooms or for bookings of a single room for more than 7 nights, a higher prepayment is required. In such cases, a prepayment of 50% of the total room stay will be charged upon reservation + balance payable 21 days prior to arrival. Note: due to high demand, we cannot block large numbers of rooms without a final commitment. Please contact our reception directly for group requests & best possible rates.

To simplify comparison, prices shown during booking are in Euro. However, payments will be processed in local currency at the daily exchange rate. The booker is solely responsible for any bank fees incurred from their own bank, which are non-refundable in all cases.

A deposit is required to confirm the booking. Refundable until 30 days prior to arrival. Full charge for cancellations after 30 days.

For bookings you must be 18 years of age or over and have legal capacity. Riad Livia does not accommodate minors (a person under the age of 16), unless the hotel is reserved privately.

Smoking is allowed only on the rooftop terrace. In all other areas of Riad Livia smoking is not allowed. Smoking inside incurs a charge of a full night's stay.

Please note that we operate a strict no pets policy.

It is strongly recommended that you and all members of your party have adequate travel insurance to cover the cost of cancellation, curtailment, medical, repatriation expenses, loss of luggage, personal effects, damages, personal injury and money/valuable belongings. We will not be responsible for any loss of, or damage to guests’ property left in guests’ rooms and/or the hotel at any time.

When you book accommodation, you accept responsibility for any damage to property or to the riad caused by you or a member of your party. We reserve the right to terminate your stay or that of any member of your party if, in the reasonable opinion of the manager, the guest’s behaviour is such as to cause damage to the property or to adversely affect the enjoyment of other guests. In these circumstances, full cancellation charges will apply and no refund will be given. Furthermore, we shall be under no obligation to pay compensation or meet any costs or expenses you may incur as a result of your stay being terminated. You will be liable to make reimbursement to us for any damage caused.

Regrettably, the old city of Marrakech, with its very narrow streets and ancient buildings, does not lend itself to disabled access. Riad Livia Marrakech has no lift meaning that access to the upper parts of the riad, including the rooftop terraces, is accessible by stairs only.

Every effort is made to provide arrangements as confirmed to you. However, certain changes may be made to the accommodation and services resulting from, for example, maintenance of the property, weather conditions, local religious holidays and so on. Where necessary, we reserve the right to change your accommodation to an alternative of the same or superior standard within Marrakech. If it is not possible to confirm a suitable alternative, we reserve the right to cancel your booking and an email notification will be sent to inform you of the details. In this instance your deposit will be refunded.

You agree, for yourselves and your guests or visitors, not to use the riad or its services for any unlawful purpose or in breach of Moroccan law or any other law applicable to the use of the riad’s services. Examples of prohibited uses include but are not limited to:

  • Commission of any criminal offence including the possession and use of controlled drugs and possession and storage of firearms and shotguns.

  • Conduct exhibited by guests/visitors which invades the privacy of another individual or individuals including other guests/visitors and staff of the riad.

  • Filming and/or photographing for the purpose of public use in any areas of the hotel without our prior written approval; commercial photography or filming without our prior written consent; and the use of our intellectual property including trademarks or trade names without our prior written approval.

These include but are not limited to war, threat of war, riot, civil disobedience or strife, government action, terrorist activity, natural or industrial disaster, fire, adverse weather conditions, level of water in rivers or floods, closure of airports and may also include industrial dispute involving third parties, technical or maintenance problems or unforeseen operational decisions of air carriers such as changes of schedule or any failure in the information technology infrastructure or failure in internet connections. Except where otherwise expressly stated in these booking conditions, we regret that we cannot accept liability or pay any compensation where the performance of our contractual obligations is prevented or affected by reason of such events beyond our control. In case of force majeure, the hotel may place the guest in an equivalent-category hotel with the same services, subject to the customer's consent.

Morocco is a Muslim country which follows Islamic laws and customs. Be aware of your actions to ensure they don’t offend, especially during the holy month of Ramadan or if you intend to visit religious areas. You should respect local traditions, customs, laws and religions at all times. Sadly, crimes against both people and their property are a fact of life the world over, and when in Marrakech it is very important to be vigilant and avoid drawing attention to yourself by wearing expensive jewellery, carrying expensive camera equipment etc. Travelers have the same responsibility for their personal safety and that of their possessions, as they do at home. We urge that you undertake reasonable precautions to protect yourself whilst on holiday.

Guests use the rooftop pool at Riad Livia Marrakech entirely at their own risk
